Aleppo, March 7 (SANA) – The death toll from the collapse of a residential building in Aleppo’s al-Ashrafieh neighborhood has risen to 10, including five women, four men, and a girl, as search and rescue operations continue.
Syrian Civil Defense teams late Saturday recovered six additional bodies from beneath the rubble of the five-storey building that collapsed on Friday, including four women, a man, and a girl. Earlier in the day, four victims; three men and a woman, were recovered, the Ministry of Emergency and Disaster Management said in a statement.
Search efforts remain underway for possible survivors or victims still trapped beneath the debris, the statement added.

Emergency crews, supported by heavy machinery and specialized teams, have been working continuously to clear the rubble and reach those believed to have been inside the building at the time of the collapse. Initial estimates indicated that several people, including members of a family, were trapped.
Authorities evacuated nearby residential buildings as a precaution amid concerns over structural damage and the risk of further collapses in the area.
Faisal Mohammad Ali, operations commander at Aleppo’s Emergency Directorate, said rescue operations are being carried out under strict safety measures to ensure the protection of both residents and rescue workers.
