Riyadh, Feb.9 (SANA) – Syrian national cycling team member, Ruba Hilani, on Monday gained the gold medal at the Asian Cycling Championships being held in al-Qassim, Saudi Arabia.
Hilani secured the gold medal in the Masters category for the 65 km race.
This gold medal is significant as it marks the return of Syrian cycling to continental competitions after an absence of more than 10 years.
