Beirut, May 22 (SANA) Israeli occupation airstrikes on towns in southern Lebanon killed 11 people Friday, including three Syrian nationals — among them a child — according to Lebanon’s National News Agency.
A drone strike targeting a pickup truck in the middle of a commercial market in the city killed one passenger and wounded two others. A separate strike on the Deir Qanoun an-Naher–Al-Aabbassiyah triangle killed six people, including two paramedics, one Lebanese national, and three Syrians — one of them a child.
Israeli warplanes also carried out two additional strikes targeting the towns of Jwaya and Debaal east of the city of Tyre, amid heavy enemy air activity over the area.
Lebanon’s Ministry of Public Health Emergency Operations Center announced Friday that the cumulative death toll from Israeli aggression on Lebanon since March 2 has reached 3,111 killed and 9,432 wounded. Separately, the Director of Public Relations at Syria’s General Authority for Land and Sea Border Crossings, Mazen Alloush, said that as of April 23, the bodies of 76 Syrian nationals killed in the ongoing Israeli aggression on Lebanon had been repatriated to Syria.
