Damascus, March 21 (SANA) President Ahmad al-Sharaa, accompanied by First Lady Mrs. Latifa al-Droubi, received a group of Syrian women at the People’s Palace in Damascus on Saturday on the dual occasion of Eid al-Fitr and Mother’s Day.

During the reception, President al-Sharaa emphasized the pivotal role of mothers in building both the family unit and the wider community. He stressed that women are essential partners in Syria’s ongoing renaissance, praising their immense sacrifices and steadfastness throughout the challenges of recent years.

The President engaged in an open dialogue with the attendees, listening to their perspectives and proposals on enhancing the empowerment of mothers. The discussions focused on expanding their contributions to the nation’s phase of recovery and the comprehensive rebuilding of the country’s social and economic fabric.
