Damascus, Sep. 2 (SANA) Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Asaad Hassan al-Shaibani held an expanded meeting Wednesday with a European Union delegation headed by Henrike Trautmann, Director for the Middle East, North Africa and Gulf.
The meeting addressed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and broaden cooperation between the Syrian Arab Republic and the European Union.
The two sides also discussed expanding economic, trade and investment cooperation and developing partnerships across various sectors in support of Syria’s recovery and reconstruction efforts.
The meeting comes as Syria continues to strengthen its international partnerships and expand cooperation with European countries and institutions in support of national recovery and stability.
Earlier on Tuesday, al-Shaibani said during a meeting with Danish Foreign Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen in Damascus that Syria and Denmark are moving toward building a comprehensive partnership and strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest, contributing to Syria’s stability and recovery.
