Cairo, Sept. 4 (SANA) The Arab League condemned continued Iranian attacks on Kuwait on Friday and expressed full solidarity with the Gulf state, warning that attacks on Arab countries risk escalating regional tensions.
In a statement posted on X, the Arab League General Secretariat said it supported measures taken by Kuwait to protect its security, sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The pan-Arab body warned that continued attacks on Arab states could undermine efforts to contain the regional escalation and reiterated its rejection of military conflicts spilling onto their territory and endangering civilians and infrastructure.
It called for an immediate halt to the attacks and urged respect for international law and regional security.
The Kuwaiti military said Thursday it had intercepted Iranian missiles and hostile drones that entered the country’s airspace, in attacks that drew widespread condemnation from Arab states.
