Cairo, May 11 (SANA) Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit condemned attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Qatar, warning that continued escalation could undermine diplomatic efforts and increase regional instability.
In a statement published Monday on the Arab League’s account on the X platform, Aboul Gheit described the attacks as violations of international law and expressed solidarity with the affected Gulf states.
He also voiced support for Bahrain in confronting what he described as threats targeting its security and stability.
Aboul Gheit warned that continued military escalation risked weakening mediation efforts aimed at ending the conflict peacefully and could push the region toward further instability.
He reaffirmed the Arab League’s support for measures taken by Gulf states to protect their security and sovereignty.
According to official statements, the attacks targeted Qatari territory and territorial waters, key sites and facilities in the UAE, as well as Kuwaiti territory and airspace.
