Cairo, Sept. 2 (SANA) Egypt on Wednesday condemned Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan, describing them as a violation of their sovereignty and territorial integrity.
In a statement posted on X, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry warned that the attacks represent a dangerous escalation threatening regional security and stability and endangering the safety of the region’s people.
Egypt called for an immediate halt to the military escalation, maximum restraint, respect for state sovereignty and international law, and the prioritization of dialogue and diplomacy. The ministry also warned of repercussions for the security of Arab countries and freedom of international navigation.
Kuwait, Jordan and Bahrain intercepted hostile targets in their airspace early Wednesday, according to the source material. The attacks came amid renewed regional military escalation following US strikes on Iranian sites on Tuesday.
