Airstrikes hit residential areas in southern Lebanon

Beirut, April 10 (SANA) Four people were killed and two others injured on Friday in continued Israeli strikes targeting several areas in southern Lebanon, according to Lebanese media reports.

Lebanon’s National News Agency said an Israeli drone strike hit the Al-Samā‘iyah area between Deir Qanoun and Ras al-Ain in the Tyre district, killing two people.

Israeli warplanes also carried out airstrikes on the towns of Hanawayh and Deir Antar in the same district, leaving one person dead and two others wounded.

In the Nabatieh district, one person was killed after an Israeli drone targeted his motorcycle in the town of Al-Sharqiya.

Elsewhere, Israeli forces demolished homes in the town of Hanine in Bint Jbeil district and in Aita al-Shaab.

Additional airstrikes targeted the towns of Jouaiya and Al-Majadel near Sidon, while heavy artillery shelling struck the town of Debbine in Marjeyoun district, including its central square.

The Emergency Operations Center at Lebanon’s Ministry of Health said on Thursday that 303 people were killed and 1,150 injured in a preliminary toll from Israeli strikes carried out on Wednesday.

The overall death toll from ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 1,888, with 6,092 others injured, according to official figures.
