Pedersen condemns “in the strongest terms” the terrorist attack on a church in Damascus

New York, SANA – The UN Special Envoy for Syria, Geir Pedersen, condemned “in the strongest terms” the terrorist attack on St Elias Church in Damascus.

Pedersen expressed his “strong condemnation of this heinous crime”, calling for “a comprehensive investigation and the necessary measures”.

Pederson also called on everyone to “unite in rejecting terrorism, extremism, incitement, and the targeting of any group in Syria”. He offered “his deepest condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured”.
