U.S. President Donald Trump said that the ceasefire in Gaza marks not just the end of a conflict, but the beginning of a “historic dawn for a new Middle East,” bringing closure to a long and painful chapter for both Israelis and Palestinians.
Speaking before the Israeli Knesset, Trump stated that after many years of relentless warfare and constant danger, calm has finally prevailed.
The ceasefire marks a moment that “everything began to change, and change very much for the better” in the Middle East Trump said. “The long and painful nightmare is finally over. Not only for Israelis but also Palestinians, the long and painful nightmare is finally over,” he added.
He emphasized that’’ peace is no longer a distant dream but a tangible reality being built day by day, calling Gaza ceasefire a monumental victory for the entire world.’’
Trump urged all parties to shift focus from suffering and loss toward reconstruction and development. He encouraged Palestinians in Gaza to prioritize economic growth and quality of life, expressing his willingness to be a partner in these efforts and announcing plans to help establish a “Peace Council.”
