Qatar Emir, UAE president discuss regional tensions and security efforts

Doha, May 14 (SANA) Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed regional and international developments during a phone call on Wednesday, with talks focusing on the current situation in the Middle East and efforts to maintain regional stability.

According to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the two leaders stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation on issues of mutual concern in support of regional and international peace and security.

They also reviewed bilateral relations between Qatar and the United Arab Emirates and discussed ways to strengthen cooperation in areas serving the interests of both countries.

Earlier this month, Qatar condemned Iranian attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates, describing them as a violation of sovereignty and a threat to regional security and stability.
