Doha, May 12 (SANA) Qatari Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani held a phone call Tuesday with his Jordanian counterpart Ayman Safadi to discuss the latest regional developments and ongoing de-escalation efforts, according to the Qatari News Agency QNA.
The two ministers discussed developments in the U.S.-Iran negotiations and ceasefire efforts, in a manner that contributes to strengthening security and stability in the region. The Qatari foreign minister stressed the need for all parties to engage constructively with ongoing mediation efforts, in order to address the roots of the crisis through peaceful means and dialogue, and reach a sustainable agreement that prevents renewed escalation.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Qatari foreign minister also met with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, with the two sides discussing the U.S.-Iran ceasefire and ongoing contacts aimed at reducing tensions and reinforcing regional security and stability.
