Beirut, April 30 (SANA) A series of Israeli airstrikes on towns in Nabatieh Governorate, southern Lebanon, killed nine people and injured others, causing significant material damage.

According to the National News Agency, an Israeli air raid on Thursday morning killed three civilians and injured seven others in the town of Jibshit, also destroying a residential building. In a separate strike on the town of Toul, four people were killed and six injured, along with the destruction of another residential building. In Harouf, two more civilians were killed and a house was destroyed.

In addition, an Israeli drone struck a motorcycle in the town of Sarifa in Tyre district, injuring one person.

Israeli warplanes also carried out raids on the town of Sultanieh in Nabatieh district and Qalaouiyeh in Bint Jbeil district.

Artillery shelling targeted the outskirts of Zawtar al-Sharqiya and Meifdoun in Nabatieh, Biyyout al-Siyad in Tyre district, villages in the western sector of Tyre district, and the town of Kunin in Bint Jbeil district.

The escalation comes amid continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement announced on April 16, increasing tensions and threatening efforts to stabilize the region.

The Lebanese Ministry of Health said that the death toll from Israeli attacks since March 2 has risen to 2,576 killed and 7,962 injured.
