Manama, March 11 (SANA) Bahrain’s air defense systems have intercepted 106 missiles and 177 drones launched toward the kingdom since Iranian attacks began, the General Command of the Bahrain Defense Force said Wednesday.
According to the Bahrain News Agency (BNA), the military command said air defense units continue to respond to repeated missile and drone attacks.
“The air defense systems are continuing to intercept repeated Iranian terrorist attacks,” the statement said, adding that 106 missiles and 177 drones have been repelled since the attacks began.
The command said that targeting civilian sites and private property with ballistic missiles and drones constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law and the UN Charter.
Authorities urged residents to avoid damaged areas, refrain from filming military activity or debris, and rely only on official sources for information and safety alerts.
Iran has continued missile and drone attacks on several countries in the region, including Bahrain, causing casualties and infrastructure damage amid escalating military tensions following recent U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iranian territory.
