Manama, March 6 (SANA) Bahrain’s Defense Force said Friday that its air defense systems had intercepted and destroyed 78 missiles and 143 drones since the start of Iranian attacks targeting the kingdom.
The Defense Force General Command described the attacks on civilian infrastructure and private property as a violation of international humanitarian law and the UN Charter, warning that such strikes pose a direct threat to security and stability in the region.
The command urged citizens to remain indoors, leave their homes only when necessary, avoid affected areas, and refrain from photographing military operations or debris sites. The public was also advised to rely on official sources and state media for updates.
On Friday morning, Bahrain’s Interior Ministry reported a new Iranian attack targeting two hotels and a residential building in the capital, Manama.
Iran has continued launching missile and drone strikes on several Arab countries following U.S. and Israeli military strikes against Iran last week, causing casualties and damaging critical infrastructure.
