Occupied Jerusalem, Feb.15 (SANA) Eight Palestinians were killed and several others wounded Sunday in Israeli shelling in northern and southern Gaza Strip, according to medical sources cited by the Palestinian news agency WAFA.

Four Palestinians were killed and others injured after Israeli forces shelled a tent housing displaced people in the al-Falouja area west of Jabalia camp in northern Gaza Strip, the sources said.

Four others were killed in a heavy bombardment targeting several areas south of Khan Younis in southern Gaza Strip.

In a related development, Israeli forces continued demolishing homes north of Gaza City, while artillery fire targeted the al-Sanafour junction in the al-Tuffah neighborhood east of the city.

On Saturday, three Palestinians, including a woman and a child, were wounded by Israeli gunfire in Gaza Strip.

The Israeli occupation continues to escalate its violations of a ceasefire agreement in Gaza Strip that has been in effect since Oct. 11 last year, resulting in the killing of around 800 Palestinians, according to Palestinian sources.
