65 martyrs in Israeli bombing of Gaza amid escalating UN warnings

Occupied Jerusalem, SANA- 65 Palestinians were martyred and dozens were injured, most of them women and children, as a result of Israeli airstrikes on Thursday on various areas in the Gaza Strip, in a new escalation of the ongoing aggression since October 7, 2023.

WAFA News Agency reported that the bombing targeted Deir al-Balah city in the central Gaza Strip, tents housing displaced persons west of Khan Yunis in the south, the Bureij refugee camp and al-Daraj neighborhood in the central Gaza Strip, and al-Shati refugee camp west of Gaza City, resulting in a large number of civilian casualties.

Medical sources reported that the Palestinian death toll has risen to 57,680, with 137,409 injured since the start of the Israeli aggression. Dozens of bodies remain buried under the rubble and in the streets, while civil defense and ambulance crews unable to reach them due to the ongoing bombardment and the collapse of infrastructure.

In this context, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) warned of a rapidly deteriorating humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip, noting that the bombing has targeted tents, schools, homes, and medical facilities, in addition to the prevention of the entry of fuel and humanitarian aid, which portends a significant increase in the death toll in the coming days.
