Abu Dhabi, Feb. 28 (SANA) – Qatar’s Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, and UAE President, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, affirmed during a Saturday phone call their continued high-level coordination to safeguard sovereignty and bolster regional stability following Iranian missile attacks on several Arab countries.
According to the Emirates News Agency, the two leaders reviewed regional developments and the implications of the current escalation for regional and international security. They strongly condemned Iran’s targeting of Arab states with ballistic missiles.
They described the attacks as a dangerous escalation that threatens regional stability and constitutes a clear violation of international law and the UN Charter.
Both leaders emphasized full solidarity with the affected countries and reaffirmed their commitment to continued coordination and necessary measures to protect sovereignty and enhance stability. They also called for an immediate halt to escalation to prevent further tensions.
The talks come after a joint U.S.–Israeli strike on Iran, which was followed by Iranian ballistic missile attacks targeting Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan.
