Discussions also focused on ensuring the basic needs of Syrian students are met, in order to guarantee continuity in their education and to deliver the highest quality of educational services.

Both sides reviewed the challenges currently facing Syria’s education sector, outlined the Ministry’s priorities, and examined avenues for mutual cooperation to support this vital issue.

The IOM delegation expressed its readiness to collaborate with the Ministry of Education and the Syrian government to deliver all necessary services to returning Syrians and students who have dropped out, commending the Ministry’s ongoing efforts and its comprehensive plans to achieve these goals.
