Damascus, SANA – The visiting Russian delegation discussed with the administration of Children’s University Hospital in Damascus means to improve work and provide the required support to the medical staff and secure needed medicines and medical supplies, in addition to performing surgeries for some cases of complex tumors.
In a press statement following a tour in the Hospital’s sections, Director-General of the National Medical Research Radiological Center at the Russian Health ministry, Professor Andrey Kaprin said the delegation will present a full report to Russian Health Minister about the Hospital’s medical situation with a plan to improve it by providing the needed medicines and the necessary medical equipment.
“We are ready and willing to perform complex surgical operations, especially those related to tumors,” he added.
He also called on the doctors in the Hospital to prepare a list of some of these cases during the delegation’s visit.
Earlier, the delegation visited the Martyr’s Sons School and met with the students, some of whom had visited Russia earlier last year.
The Russian delegation includes members of the Russian State Duma and medical and academic figures.
