Syrian Tourism Minister discusses in Tehran means to activate mutual visits

Tehran, SANA – Tourism Minister Bishr Yazigi discussed on Thursday with the Head of Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization Hamid Mohammadi the bilateral relations in tourism sector and the mechanisms to provide facilitations to Iranian visitors to Syria.

Yazigi said the Ministry of Tourism in Syria has always taken all the necessary measures to provide the necessary requirements to facilitate Iranians’ visits to Syria and is fully prepared to do its best in this regard.

He added that the tourist and religious facilities in Syria are ready to receive Iranian visitors, where security meausres will be provided for them, affirming that the cultural, social and religious factors shared between the two brotherly people play a major role in activating the tourism relations between Syria and Iran.

For his part, Mohammadi affirmed that the Iranians are highly interested in visiting Syria and the religious places in it, pointing out that Iran’s Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization is seriously studying the issue of activating tourism with Syria and sending Iranian visitors to it.

He said that Iran and the Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization also welcome the visit of Syrians to Iran and that they are ready to provide all necessary facilitations in this regard.

Yazigi also participated in the ceremony of declaring the Iranian city of Mashhad as the Cultural Capital of the Islamic world for 2017 by the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO).
