600 food packages distributed to residents of al-Hol area in Hasaka

Hasaka, SANA – 600 food packages are being distributed to the residents of al-Hol area to the east of Hasaka province by al-Berr Social Services Charity.

Head of the Charity Yassin Hassan told SANA that monetary sums are also distributed among 425 families registered at the Charity, adding that the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the World Health Organization (WHO) provided 65 wheelchairs that were distributed among disabled persons, in addition to carrying out three courses for teaching some 108 women sewing in cooperation with the Syrian Association for Social Development.

He added that applications of owners of affected vocational shops such as smithing and carpentry workshops, barbershops and the like are being registered now in several areas in the province as part “Jusour Development Project” with the aim of rehabilitating these shops and providing them with the required equipment.

The activities of Jusour Development Project target the areas of Ras al-Ain, Tal Tamr, Amouda, Tal Brak, al-Derbasiya, al-Hol and al-Shaddadi.
