Damascus, SANA – Presidential Political and Media Advisor Bouthaina Shaaban stressed on Tuesday the need for mastering the modern ways and tools of professional media for effective coverage of facts and building credibility and trust with the receivers.

Her remarks came during a lecture she delivered at the International Center for Training and Development of Administrative and Media Skills in Damascus.

Shaaban highlighted the ferocious media attack facing Syria and the Arab World in general where facts are being distorted to mislead the public opinion about what is going on in Syria and other Arab countries.

She said it is extremely important that national media in the Arab World contribute to bridging the gap related to knowing the facts about the events in Syria to prevent being fabricated by the Western media in service of certain agendas that are in the interest of some hostile governments.
