Damascus SANA – Speaker of the People’s Assembly Hadiya Abbas affirmed on Sunday the importance of the active role of local reconciliation committees, highlighting the need to strengthen the bonds of trust with the citizens and spreading the culture of reconciliation in society.
During a meeting with the head and members of the National Reconciliation Committee at the Assembly, Abbas stressed that local reconciliations are very helpful so as to enhance the victories achieved by the Syrian Arab Army against the terrorist organizations.
For their part, the Committee members affirmed the necessity of boosting cooperation with the Ministry of State for National Reconciliation Affairs where steps and measures can be coordinated and more effectively implemented.
On the other hand, Abbas discussed with members of the People’s Assembly representing Deir Ezzor and Hasaka the living conditions of people in the two provinces and ways of securing the basic needs of the citizens there to enhance their resilience in the face of terrorism.
