Monday weather: Temperatures above average, skies clear

Damascus, SANA- The temperatures will remain from 7 to 10 degrees above average as the country is being affected by a high air pressure in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorology Department expected in its Monday bulletin that the weather will be hot and the skies will be clear in general with some scattered clouds while the weather will be misty with dusty conditions in the eastern, al-Jazeera and al-Badiya “desert” areas.

The wind will be northwesterly with a moderate speed and it will become active in the afternoon while the sea waves will be medium in height.

Tomorrow, the temperatures will gradually drop, yet they will remain from 4 to 6 degrees above average and the weather will be relatively hot as the skies will be clear to partly cloudy in general while the weather will be misty in the eastern and al-Badiya areas.

The expected temperatures in the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 38/20, Daraa 37/20, Homs 34/22, Lattakia 31/18, Aleppo 34/18 and Deir Ezzor 39/22.
