New local reconciliation agreement signed in al-Samra village in Hama

Hama, SANA-A local reconciliation agreement was signed in al-Samra village in Souran area in Hama province in the presence of Hama Governor Ghassan Khalaf and number of popular figures.

The locals of the village expressed their support for the efforts exerted to reach a comprehensive reconciliation in the province and country, affirming their readiness to stand by the Syrian Arab Army in confronting terrorists.

Pursuant to the reconciliation agreement, a number of gunmen handed over their arms and pledged to defend the village and fight terrorist organizations which are attacking the locals.

The agreement also stipulates for reactivating governmental establishments and working with the parties concerned to encourage the village’s locals to return to their homes and normal lives after providing the services necessary for them and settling the legal status of wanted persons in the village.

In turn, Head of the Russian reconciliation center Sergey Ivanov pointed out the humanitarian role of the center in the province in cooperation with the Syrian government to expand the scope of reconciliations and restore stability and security to the villages and towns that suffered from terrorism.

On May 4, more than 2000 displaced persons returned to their homes in Kawkab village after signing a local reconciliation in the village which is located about 20 km to the north of Hama city.
