Moscow, SANA- Russian Defense Ministry said that its warplanes continue sorties against the terrorist organizations of ISIS and Jabhat al- Nusra in the countryside of Raqqa, Deir-Ezzor and at the vicinity of Palmyra city.
Spokesman of the Ministry Igor Konashenkov said in a statement published by RT Website that “the cessation of hostilities in the Syrian territories is mostly holding”, pointing out at the same time to separate shelling and provocative operations.
Terrorist organizations committed violations of the cessation of hostilities 56 times throughout the past three days according to the Russian Coordination Center, the most of which were in Aleppo where 13 people were killed and 40 others were injured in rocket and mortar shells in al- Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood.
Konashenkov reaffirmed that the Russian warplanes do not launch raids on armed groups that agreed on the cessation of hostilities.
In the humanitarian framework, Spokesman of the Russian Defense Ministry expressed the Ministry’s readiness to provide the necessary support to international organizations offering aid in Syria for overcoming logistic problems they face in this regard.
He added that the Ministry delivered more than 620 tons of humanitarian aid and medicine to the countryside of Hama, Homs, Lattakia, Daraa, Aleppo and Damascus, pointing out that 30 tons of which were dropped through the air to Deir-Ezzor.
ISIS terrorists have been besieging tens of thousands of people in Deir-Ezzor city for more than two years as the Relief Subcommittee in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent work on delivering assistance by all means and distributing them to the locals inside the city.
