Three Syrian universities will participate in Int’l Collegiate Programming Contest next May

Cairo, SANA – Three Syrian universities have qualified for the International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) which will be held in Thailand in May 2016.

The three Syrian teams, representing Aleppo, Tishreen and Damascus universities, will be participating in the contest out of eight Arab teams.

In a statement to SANA, Tareq Barakat, Deputy Director of the Contest in the Levant Region, said the coming international participation will be the fourth for Lattakia-based Tishreen University and the first for Damascus and Aleppo universities.

The teams qualified for Thailand competition after they came among the top 10 places in the 2015 Arab Collegiate Programming Contest (ACPC) that was held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, early this week.
