Damascus, SANA – Terrorists detonated an explosive device in al-Mazzeh area in Damascus city on Saturday evening, claiming the life of one civilian.

Sources at the Police Command said that terrorists had planted the IED in a bicycle parked in al-Sharif al-Radi square in the residential area of al-Mazzeh, and that the blast claimed the life of one civilian and injured several others.

A source at al-Muwasat Hospital said that 5 civilians, one of them a child, were admitted to the hospital after sustaining injuries of varying severity in the attack.
