Damascus, SANA – Prime Minister Wael al-Halaqi met on Thursday with MPs from the eastern Deir Ezzor province, where he stressed the government’s keenness to keep in touch with all the components of the Syrian society.
This communication, he said, is necessary as it goes in line with consolidating the participatory approach in drawing up the national policies and getting to be closely acquainted with the problems and obstacles so that to have them overcome.
He referred to a series of measures taken by the government in the framework of facing the unjust economic sanctions imposed on the Syrian people, mainly those related to providing the basic livelihood needs to the citizens.
The discussions during the meeting touched upon the main social and economic problems facing Deir Ezzor people, including those related to the provision of food and relief supplies, the health sector performance and other services issues, which the Premier promised that they will be solved soon.
