Ankara, SANA – At least 95 people were killed and 246 others wounded in two bombs exploded at a gathering organized to rally demonstrating against Erdogan’s regime and calling for peace near the main train station in Ankara on Saturday in the deadliest attack the country witnesses since July.
Last July, More than 30 people were killed and dozens were injured in a terrorist bombing that targeted a gathering of hundreds of youths from the Socialist Youth Associations Federation (SGDF) who came from across Turkey and gathered at the Amara Cultural Center in the town of Suruc to express solidarity with the Syrian city of Ain al-Arab.
The death toll of Ankara bombings is expected to rise as 48 victims were in intensive care according to the number of casualties announced by Erdogan regime Prime Minster Davutoglu on his website.
About 14,000 people were in the area, when two suicide bombers believed to have caused the blasts, Davutoglu said.
The attack came three weeks before national elections.
Some ten thousand protesters took to street in Istanbul following the bloody bombings, shouldering Erdogan’s regime responsibility for the terrorist act.
Protesters chanted “Erdogan is a killer” and “peace will win” and they carried banners saying “we know the killers” according to AFP.
Similar protests were recorded in other Turkish cities such as Diyarbakir, south Turkey, where police used tear gas to disperse protesters.
The Turkish police used live bullets to disperse protesters in demonstration in Ankara that shouldered Erdogan responsibility for the terrorist crime.
Erdogan’s regime hosts, supports and providse safe haven for terrorist organizations which perpetrate brutal crimes against the Syrian people for the last four years.
