Provinces, SANA – Army and the Armed Forces stepped up operations against the armed terrorist groups in a number of areas, eliminating scores of them and obliterating their hideouts, fortifications and weaponry, a military source said Friday.
Al-Zabadani, Damascus Countryside
Army units, in cooperation with the Lebanese resistance, continued to advance in the city of al-Zabadani in the northwestern Damascus Countryside, carrying out a swift operation resulting in establishing control of most of al-Nabou’a neighborhood in the northeastern part of the city.
A military source said the operation resulted in inflicting heavy losses in personnel and equipment on terrorists in the city, adding that the army and the resistance reached the perimeter of al-Rahma Mosque in the neighborhood, and that engineering units dismantled a number of landmines and explosive devices planted by terrorists before retreating from the area.
The source went on to note that many terrorists were killed in the operation, while others fled and others turned themselves in.
Quneitra
An army unit killed and injured a number of terrorists in Mas’hara village in the countryside of the southern Quneitra province, according to a military source.
Army also thwarted Jabhet al-Nusra terrorists’ attempt to infiltrate Hadar village, killing scores of them and destroying their weapons and ammunition.
Daraa
An army unit targeted hideouts and concentrations of terrorists in the surroundings of al-Sheikh Miskeen in the northern countryside of Daraa province, killing and injuring many terrorists and destroying their weapons, a military source said.
The source added that army units eliminated a number of terrorists, injured others, and destroyed some of their positions in al-Karak and al-Sibeh neighborhoods in Daraa al-Balad.
Idleb
The army’s Air Force killed a number of terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and “Jaish al-Fateh” terrorist organizations and destroyed their vehicles in a series of airstrikes on their concentrations in the village of Ram Hamdan and the towns of Taftanaz and Binnish in the surroundings of al-Fou’a and Kafraya towns northeast of Idleb city, a military source said.
The source also said that airstrikes targeted terrorists’ gatherings in Ma’aret al-Nu’man, Ehsem, Kafr Ouaid, Kansafra, Jisr al-Shughour, Basames, Muhambel, al-Tamane’a, al-Mastouma, and Eblin in the countryside south and southwest of Idleb city, leaving a number of terrorists dead and destroying their vehicles and military equipment.
The Air Force also eliminated a number of terrorists, injured others, and destroyed their vehicles in a series of airstrikes on their hideouts and concentrations in Abu al-Duhour, Oum Jireen, al-Majass, and Tal Salmo.
In the province’s southern countryside, airstrikes on concentrations of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists left a number of them dead and others injured and destroyed vehicles along with the weapons and ammo on board in the villages of Ein al-Asafir and Maarshemarin south of Ma’aret al-Nu’man.
Airstrikes also targeted terrorists’ concentrations in al-Luj and Ein Larose in the province’s southwestern countryside, inflicting heavy losses on terrorists.
Aleppo
Army units carried out intensive strikes against ISIS’ gatherings in the area surrounding the Air Force Academy in Aleppo, killing many terrorists and destroying their ammunition and vehicles.
An army unit eliminated a number of terrorists and destroyed their vehicles and weapons during accurate operation against their dens in Tal Riman and the area surrounding al-Safira city to the southeast of Aleppo city.
In the western countryside of Aleppo, army units targeted terrorists’ supply routes in Injara and al-Toama villages and Darrit Ezza, inflicting heavy losses on terrorists.
The terrorists Rakan Fawaz Salman, Mohamed Baghdadi, Fayssal Haj Ahmad al-Hadi, Ahmad Mohamed al-Omar al-Adam, Hamid Mahmoud al-Hammi, Omran Abad al-Rahman Moustafa al-Ahmad Najar, Ahmad Haj Ahmad al-Hadi al-Najar, Abd al-Majid Louay al-Najar and Mohamed Walid Shaaban Najar were acknowledged dead by terrorist organizations.
Lattakia
The army air force raided terrorists’ hideouts and gatherings in Bait Awan, Ein al-Ishra and Jib in Lattakia north eastern countryside, killing a number of terrorists and destroying their weapons.
Homs
Army units targeted ISIS gatherings in the areas of Jazal petroleum field, Wadi Abyad and al-Bayarat west of Palmyra city, killing scores of terrorists and destroying their weapons and ammunition.
The army also targeted ISIS hideouts and vehicles in al-Sukhna and al-Qaryatin and killed and injured a number of terrorists.
Hama
A number of “Jaish al-Fateh” terrorists were killed and their vehicles were destroyed in army airstrikes against their dens in al-Hwash, Tal Wasit, al-Ziara, al-Hamidiyeh and al-Mansoura in the countryside of the central Hama province.
The Army air force launched strikes against terrorists’ gatherings in al-Latamina and Kafr Zita in Hama province.
The airstrikes resulted in the death of many terrorists, injuring many others and destroying their vehicles, some of them equipped with heavy machine guns.
An army unit targeted with a guided missile a tank that belongs to Jaish al-Fateh in the area surrounding kherbit al-Nakous, destroying the tank with all the terrorists inside it.
Another army unit clashed with a terrorist group while it was trying to sneak into Kherbit al-Nakous village, killing many of its members, among them Mohamed Khaled Tiba.
