Tehran, SANA – Health Minister Nizar Yazjji started on Sunday a visit to Iran, which he said would contribute to providing more medical support, including medicines, medical equipment, ambulances and emergency shipments of special medicines and medical supplies, through Iran’s credit line to supply public hospitals in most needy areas.
In a statement to SANA, Minister Yaziji said his visit to Iran also aims at finding more opportunities to enhance cooperation and coordination in the health field between the two countries.
Syria and Iran signed last May several agreements in the fields of investment, health, power and industry following talks that lasted for two days.
The agreement in the health field provided for continuing supplying hospitals and health institutions in Syria with medicines and medical equipment.
