Civilian killed, 26 injured in terrorist mortar attacks

Provinces, SANA – One civilian was killed and 18 were injured Friday by terrorist attacks with mortar shells targeted residential areas in Damascus and its countryside.

A source at Damascus Police Command told SANA that terrorists targeted Ibn Asaker area with a mortar shell, leaving one person dead and causing material damage to private and public properties.

Another mortar shell fired by terrorists fell on a house in al-Qazaz neighborhood, wounding 4 persons and causing material damage to four cars, while another shell fell on a house in al-Midan neighborhood, injuring one and causing significant material damage to the house.

In Damascus countryside, one civilian was injured in a mortar attack with three shells targeted al-Qrayat neighborhood in Jaramana city.

Terrorists also fired 13 shells at Harasta suburb later in the evening, with the shells falling in Blocks C1 and B1, inflicting injuries of varying severity on 12 people, in addition to damaging houses, shops, and cars.

In Aleppo city, 8 civilians were injured when terrorists fired rocket shells on a public park.

A police source said that terrorists had targeted the public park in Aleppo city with rocket shells, causing injuries to 8 civilians and material damage to the site.
