PM: Rehabilitating industrial zones, meeting their needs to resume work efficiently

Damascus, SANA – Prime Minister Dr. Wael al-Halqi said on Saturday that the government is providing logistic services for the industrial zones and rehabilitating damaged ones, such as al-Sheikh Najjar in Aleppo.

During a meeting held to discuss the needs and situation of the industrial zones, al-Halqi stressed that industrial security leads to social stability and helps provide new job opportunities, achieve sustainable and comprehensive development, reduce importation and strengthen national economy.

Establishing the industrial zones led to a significant improvement in the industrial sector with four main zones in Damascus Countryside, al-Sheikh Najjar, Hasya and Deir Ezzor.

According to the Local Administration ministry’s figures, the volume of investment in these four zones reached SYP 571.587 billion and provided 769,89 job opportunities.
