Provinces, SANA –The army continued on Tuesday military operations against the terrorist organizations’ hideouts and positions across the country, inflicting heavy loses upon them in personnel and equipment.
Daraa
An army unit carried out concentrated operations targeting hideouts and concentrations of terrorists, most of them from Jabhat al-Nusra and the “al-Muthana Islamic Movement” terrorist organizations in al-Nueimeh village, 4 km east of Daraa city.
A military source told SANA that these operations resulted in killing and injuring scores of terrorists and the destruction of their weapons and ammunition, adding that other army operations in the surroundings of al-Nueimeh, Ghuraz, Nassib, and Oum al-Mayazin in Daraa’s southeastern countryside left many terrorists dead or injured and destroyed their weapons and ammo.
An army unit targeted terrorists on the road between Daraa city and al-Sadd, killing and injuring many terrorists, while another army unit destroyed an ammunition depot in Khrab al-Shahm northwest of Daraa city near the Jordanian border.
The Army’s Air Force carried out a series of air strikes against gatherings of terrorists in Daraa city and its surroundings, killing many terrorists, while in Daraa al-Balad neighborhood of the city, army units eliminated a number of terrorists to the west of the schools complex in Daraa al-Mahata, the east of al-Tulabieh square and to the south of al- Khalil mosque, in addition to destroying a heavy machinegun, two armored vehicles, and one heavy vehicle along with the terrorists inside them.
An army unit carried out an operation in the town of Atman 4km north of Daraa city, resulting in the destruction of a Jabhat al-Nusra hideout along with all the terrorists inside it, while army operations in Sheikh Miskin 22km north of Daraa city and in Bosr al-Harir in the province’s northeastern countryside left many terrorists dead.
Army units thwarted terrorists’ infiltration attempts in a number of areas in Daraa, killing and injuring hundreds of terrorists and destroying 6 armored vehicles, 4 anti- air machineguns, and 5 vehicles full of terrorists.
Quneitra
In the neighboring Quneitra province, an army unit carried out a special operation in which it killed a number of
terrorists affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra, the so-called “Ahrar al-Sham Movement” and “Al-Furqan Brigades” in Mas’hara town in the eastern countryside of the southern Quneitra province.
Another army unit targeted gatherings of terrorists and others’ movements to the north of al-Hamidiyeh village to the west of Quneitra city, leaving some of them killed or wounded.
Lattakia
At least 50 terrorists, most of them from Jabhat al-Nusra, were killed in army operations against their dens and positions in the villages of Droushan, al-Durra and Rabi’a, 60 km to the north of Lattakia city in the coastal Lattakia province.
The military source added that an armored vehicle, another equipped with a machinegun and an amount of ammunition and weapons belonging to the terrorists were destroyed in the operations.
Aleppo
In northern Syria, the army units targeted terrorists’ positions in the neighborhoods of al- Rashidin, Alliramoun, al-Zaidiyeh, Bustan al-Qasr, Qadi Askar and al-Jadideh in Aleppo city, killing and injuring scores of terrorists.
Meanwhile, a source in Aleppo province told SANA that an army unit destroyed last night a car packed with large amounts of explosives which the terrorists tried to drive it into Jamiyet al-Zahraa neighborhood on the western outskirts of Aleppo city.
The car was completely destroyed before it managed to enter the neighborhood, said the source, stressing that the suicide bomber and all the terrorists near the car were killed.
The army units, the source added, clashed with terrorists who tried to infiltrate toward the neighborhood, killing and injuring scores of them.
In the same context, army units killed Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in operations against their positions and hideouts in al-Mansoureh village and in the surroundings of the Scientific Research building near the city.
In the southern countryside of the province, many terrorists were killed and injured and their vehicles, weapons and ammunition were destroyed during army operations against their hideouts and movements in the village of Binan al-Hos and Khirbet al-Maaser.
The army air force targeted terrorists’ concentrations near al-Neirab airport, Kweris, Karmm al-Jazmati, al-Amryeh and near the air force academy, killing scores of terrorists and destroying dozens of their vehicles.
Idleb
In the neighboring Idleb province, army units destroyed a number of hideouts for Jabhat al-Nusra with terrorists, weapons and ammunition inside to the north and south of Abu al-Duhour airport and in Bishlamoun, Kinsafra and Jisr al-Shughour in the countryside of the province.
Army units thwarted terrorists’ infiltration attempts in a number of areas in Daraa, killing and injuring hundreds of terrorists and destroying 6 armored vehicles, 4 anti- air machineguns, and 5 vehicles full of terrorists.
Meanwhile, authorities managed to release 27 civilians who had been abducted by armed terrorist groups in Ishtabraq area in Idleb’s south-western countryside.
Sources told SANA reporter that all released civilians were transported to a makeshift center in al-Rabe’a area in Hama countryside.
Last April, large numbers of terrorists attacked Ishtabraq village and committed massacres against its people, killing about 200 civilians, mostly women and children, and abducting dozens others.
Hasaka
The army air force carried out a series of air strikes against hideouts of ISIS terrorists in al-Shadadi city in the northeastern Hasaka province..
The military source confirmed to SANA that the air strikes left several hideouts destroyed in Masaken 48 and the Water Station in the city.
More hideouts were destroyed in al-Arisha town in al-Shadadi area, which terrorists have turned into a main center for them where they train recruits and make explosives and car bombs.
Meanwhile, SANA reporter in Hasaka province said army targeted gatherings of ISIS terrorists in the surroundings of the main power station and the neighborhoods of al-Lailiyeh and al-Nashwa al-Gharbiyeh and near the Hotel School in the southern outskirts of Hasaka city.
Later on the day, a source at Hasaka Governorate told SANA an army unit foiled attempt by ISIS terrorists to enter a car bomb to al-Kahraba Roundabout in al-Lailiyeh.
The law enforcement personnel destroyed a car bomb near the province’s central prison and killed its driver.
Homs
In central Syria, army units inflicted heavy losses upon terrorists in personnel and equipment during operations against their hideouts and gatherings in Taldao and al-Houla in northweastern Homs province.
The source added that a number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists were killed and their weapons and ammunition were destroyed in Saliko Street in al- Rastan in the countryside of Homs province.
The army targeted terrorists’ hideouts and concentrations in a number of areas I Palmyra, killing 35 terrorists and destroying 3 vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns.
An army unit foiled terrorists’ attempt to infiltrate into Jub al-Jarrah and killed and injured all of the group’s members.
Damascus Countryside
The army air force killed ISIS terrorists and destroyed a car bomb and a machine gun in Tal al-Dabe’ al-Gharbi on the outskirts of al-Badia desert between Damascus countryside and Homs.
An army unit, the source also said, targeted terrorists, most of them affiliated to Jabhat al-Nusra, to the west of Tallet Marwan near Mighr al-Mir village, 40 km to the southwest of Damascus. A vehicle with terrorists on board was destroyed there.
In al-Zabadani, the army continued operations against terrorists in the city, advancing on many areas and establishing control over new blocks.
A number of terrorists were killed in the process and a 50-meters tunnel was destroyed oin al-Sultani neighborhood. An armored vehicle was destroyed in Sahl al-Zabadani.
Army units advanced from Sirghaya towards al-Mahata neighborhood in the city.
