Turkey will open new page with Syria after CHP takes power, CHP official says

Ankara, SANA- Turkish Republican People’s Party (CHP) Vice Chairman Veli Agbaba expressed his party’s will to make Ankara reopen new page with Syria and other countries in the region immediately after taking power.

“Immediately after his assuming the position of Prime Minister or participating in any coalition government, the first decision by the Chairman Kamal Klijdar Ihsanoglu will be stopping all kinds of support to terrorist organizations in Syria and working to establish security, stability and peace in Syria and the whole region”, Agbaba said in a party meeting in Antalya Saturday.

He asserts that such actions represent the basic guarantee for Turkey’s security and stability.

Agbaba pointed out that Kamal Klijdar Ihsanoglu  will not slacken to save Turkey and the whole region from extremism and terrorism, on top, the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terrorist organization which became a threat to the whole world.

To be mentioned, Erdogan’s governing Party (AKP) won the election with around 40,79 % of the votes, this percentage gave it an estimated 258 seats in Turkish Parliament, but that represented a steep fall in support from more than 49% in 2011, while the Turkish Republican People’s Party (CHP) led by Kamal Klijdar Ihsanoglu ranked second with 25,1% of the votes and took 132 seats.
