Homs, SANA- Minister of Social Affairs Dr. Kinda al-Shammat stressed the necessity of participatory among the charitable associations, Non Government Organization (NGOs) and the local society to take off the current reality and achieve the goal of developing activities and projects.
During her meeting with the Chairmen of the Board of directors of NGOs and charitable organizations in Homs , al-Shammat pointed out the importance of activating the role of development projects and inspecting the work of charitable associations’ work through putting thoughtful programs to evaluate the requirements of the affected families by the crisis dragging on across the country for more than four years.
Chairmen of the Board of directors of charitable associations affirmed the importance of providing all forms of financial and moral support to develop their performance and achieve the sustainable development to improve living conditions of people and families in need of assistance and income, calling for establishing small projects to enhance the economic conditions of the affected families.
The Minister toured Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) hospital in al-Ghouta neighborhood in Homs and examined the mechanisms of providing medical and treatment services for patients and displaced families from Palmyra city and other areas.
Homs Governor, Talal al-Barazi highlighted the importance of the activities provided by charitable and NGOs associations to the martyrs’ families and the army’s wounded soldiers.
