Graduation of Arab and Foreign Students from Damascus University

Damascus, SANA Damascus University set the students of the Arab and friendly countries studying in it a top priority, Rector of Damascus University Mohammad Hassan al-Kurdi said.

Al-Kurdi remarks came during a commencement held at the Civil Engineering Faculty Auditorium at Damascus University to celebrate the graduation of 45 students from various specializations.

The ceremony, which was organized by the Arab students Organizations, celebrated the graduation of 45 students from Lebanon, Yemen, Palestine, Jordan, Egypt, Sudan, Somalia as well as from Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, Pakistan, Senegal and Venezuela.

Al-Kurdi added that every year new batches of students are graduated from Damascus University in various scientific and human science specializations, which stresses its role in setting the plans and determining the actual needs of qualified cadres of the work market.

For his part, secretary of the Arab Students Organizations at Damascus Party branch Mu’taz al-Kurashi considered the graduation of the Arab and foreign students from Damascus University as one of the fruits of Syria’s giving.

Syria, which has always cared for the Arab solidarity, exerted all efforts to achieve the unity of the Arab Nation and defended their issues at the international circles, will always remain the hospitable country, Al-Qurashi added.

The graduated students expressed solidarity to Syria, asserting that they will remain faithful to Syria.
