Provinces, SANA – The army carried out more operations against positions of terrorist organizations on Friday, killing many of their members and destroying their weapons and ammunition.
Homs
Units of the army carried out concentrated operations in Rahoum village east of Homs city, killing a number of terrorists from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), in addition to destroying their arms and ammunition, a military source said.
Other army units targeted terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra and the so-called “Ahrar al-Sham” group in the villages of al-Sultaniyeh, Arshouneh, Abu Huwadit and al-Barghouthiyeh in the eastern countryside of Homs province.
Many were killed in the operations, the source told SANA.
Army units destroyed terrorists’ hideouts in the eastern countryside of Homs province, killing many of their members including Moukheiber al-Ashour, the “emir” of Jabhit al-Nusra in Salam Sharqi village, a military source said.
Metsher al-Ashour and Abdullah al-Hamidi were also identified among the terrorists killed during the army’s operations in the villages of Salam Sharqi, al-Khreija, Oum al-Rais, Masa’ada, and the hills surrounding al-Mhsairfeh.
Another army unit destroyed terrorist concentrations and hideouts in the village of Deir Foul in Talbiseh area in Homs’ northeastern countryside.
In Palmyra countryside, the army directed intense strikes against concentrations and hideouts of ISIS terrorists, killing and injuring a number of them in Jbab Hamad village, al-Twainan and Yatimiye mountains, and near the Twainan, al-Shaer, and Jazal oil and gas fields.
Hama
Army units clashed with terrorists including members of Jabhet al-Nusra and “Ahrar al-Cham Islamic Movement” terrorist organizations in the area surrounding Tal Milh, al-Jbin and al-Hmimat in Hama northern countryside.
A number of terrorists were killed during the clashes, including Mohammad Nayef al-Saeed, while a heavy vehicle used by terrorists was destroyed in the nearby village of al-Latamina along with two 14.5mm machineguns in in the area surrounding Tal Milh village.
Another army unit eliminated many terrorists in the villages of al-Mestriha, Hesraya, and Sekik, and in Sarha in al-Salamiye area, in addition to killing terrorists in the villages of al-Ramla and al-Aziziye.
Aleppo
Army units killed scores of terrorists in the area south of Nubul and al-Zahra towns in the northern countryside of Aleppo province.
Units of Army and armed Forces clashed with members of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist organization in the al-Ma’mel area which extends between al-Joud association and Byanon town in the northern countryside of Aleppo.
The clashes resulted in the destruction of vehicles, ammo and weaponry in addition to the killing of many terrorists while others escaped leaving their weapons behind.
Terrorist organizations also suffered heavy losses in personnel and equipment in Aleppo countryside. Adnan Jneid Abu Hilal, who is the leader of Jabhat al-Nusra in the southern countryside of Aleppo, was identified among the dead.
Idleb
Units of Army carried out special operations against terrorist organizations’ dens and gatherings in the southern and southwestern countryside of Idleb.
Large number of terrorists were killed or injured during the operations.
Massive losses were inflicted on the terrorists due to Army operations against their gatherings in the ancient Tal Dinet site, in addition to the death of tens of terrorists in Talit Karima, Sarmin, al-Nirab and Kaminas.
An army unit eliminated 12 terrorists from Ahrar al-Sham Islamic Movement and destroyed a vehicle equipped with heavy machine gun in Taftanaz town in Idleb countryside.
In the northwest of Idleb city, an Army unit destroyed two terrorists’ dens with all weapons and ammo inside in al-Ankawi and Qastoon villages.
The Army targeted with intensive strikes terrorists’ hideouts in Kourin, al-Tanjara, al-Makbal, Failon and Kafr Lata in the southern and southwestern countryside of Idleb.
A number of terrorists were killed, others were injured and their ammo and weaponry were destroyed.
Daraa
The army carried out intensive operations against the gatherings of terrorist organizations in al-Bitar Farm in the area surrounding Attman town to the north of Daraa city, killing scores of them.
Army units targeted in accurate operations terrorist organizations’ hideouts south of the Old Customs, east of the Technical Institution and south of the Post Office in Daraa al-Balad.
The operations resulted in the death of many terrorists, the injury of many others and the destruction of their weaponry and equipment.
Quneitra
A unit of the army and armed forces killed a number of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists north of al-Murabbaat village in the countryside of the southern Quneitra province.
Other army Units carried out heavy operations against gatherings of terrorists in al-Hamidiyeh village west of Quneitra city, killing a number of them and injuring others, in addition to destroying their vehicles and equipment.
The army also killed more terrorists in Um Batieh village in the eastern countryside of Quneitra province.
Sweida
Army units and local popular defense forces destroyed terrorist hideouts in the area of Kou’a Hadar in the northern countryside of Sweida province, killing and injuring a number of the terrorists and arresting two of them.
The army also confiscated weapons and ammo, including 54 rocket shells made in America, which the terrorists were transporting from al-Lajjat area on the administrative line between Daraa and Sweida provinces to the Badiya desert in the east of Sweida.
