Damascus, SANA – The Cabinet discussed in a regular meeting on Tuesday a number of issues pertaining to economy, services and development, and took decisions and special measures related to providing foodstuffs, subsidized food materials and petroleum products.
Other measures related to controlling prices of commodities and improving the quality of services provided to citizens were announced.
Deputy Prime Minister for Services Affairs, Minister of Local Administration Omar Ghalawanji assured that considerable stockpiles of wheat and flour are available and that the process of transporting wheat from the eastern region to southern Syria is running quite well.
The Cabinet approved in the course of the meeting a suggestion to continue annual-contract employment at public bodies and renew contracts for workers who were employed by the Youth Employment Program of 2011-2012.
