Arnous, Akbari discuss bilateral cooperation files

Damascus, SANA-Prime Minister Hussien Arnous,discussed Thursday with Iranian Ambassador to Syria Hossein Akbari and the accompanying delegation a number of bilateral cooperation files in the fields of energy, transport, industry, intra-trade, banking, insurance and tourism.

During the meeting, it was stressed the need to accelerate the implementation of agreements and understandings reached by the two countries during the past period, to achieve the common interests of both sides, with emphasis on taking all measures to facilitate the implementation of joint investment projects.

The premier said that relations between the two friendly countries and peoples are strategic, rooted and developing continuously.

It is important to strengthen joint work and expand its horizons to include various priority areas, Arnous said noting that will contribute to facing challenges and instability situation in the region, in light of the attempts of Western powers to impose their will on the peoples of the region.

For his part, the Iranian ambassador expressed his country’s desire to achieve qualitative progress in economic relations and move forward in improving the bilateral cooperation in a way that reflects the will of the leadership and peoples of the two countries.
