ICJ imposes temporary measures against “Israel”

The Hague, SANA-The International Court of Justice ICJ imposed on the Israeli occupation entity a number of temporary measures regarding the case brought by South Africa against it, including the need to take all measures to prevent acts prohibited under the Genocide Convention, and to ensure the immediate provision of the urgent humanitarian needs of Gaza Strip.

The session held at the court’s headquarter in The Hague, Netherlands, to issue a preliminary resolution in South Africa’s lawsuit against “Israel” for committing genocide in the Gaza Strip.

The court announced its acceptance of the lawsuit and rejected “Israel’s” request to dismiss it.

The International Justice affirmed that the reports and evidence provided in South Africa’s lawsuit that “Israel” committed genocide in the Gaza Strip are logical.

President of the court, Judge Joan E. Donoghue, said that South Africa has the right to file the lawsuit and “Israel’s” request for a response cannot be accepted.

She added: “The court recognizes the right of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip to protection from acts of genocide, and many Palestinians in the Strip do not have water, food, and the basics of life.”.
