Non-Aligned Movement states call for halting the Israeli aggression on Gaza

Kampala,SANA- Non-Aligned Movement states stressed at the conclusion of the 19th summit the necessary of halting the aggression of Israeli occupation against Gaza strip.

The 19th summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) member states ended Saturday night by releasing the final document and the Kampala Political Declaration, which affirmed adherence to the vision and principles of the movement, as established in Bandung conference of 1955 and Belgrade of 1961, and continuing to work to achieve a world of peace, justice and well-being for all.

Following are the key points from the final declaration of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Summit held in Kampala, the capital of Uganda:

-The declaration affirms the continuation of the work to achieve a world in which peace, justice and prosperity prevail for all.

-It underline the need to cease Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.

-The conference condemns in the strongest terms the Israeli military aggression on Gaza Strip, the indiscriminate attacks against civilians and the forced displacement of Palestinians.

-The summit demands an immediate and permanent ceasefire for humanitarian reasons.

-It stressed the need to end the Israeli occupation and establish the Palestinian State with East Jerusalem as its capital, and grant it full membership in the United Nations.

– The member states reject the continued establishment of expansionist settlements by “Israel” throughout the occupied Palestinian territory.

-They urged an end to the Israeli occupation of the Syrian Arab Golan and withdrawal from it to the line of June 4, 1967.
