A Pakistani aid plane arrives at Damascus International Airport

Damascus, SANA- A Pakistani plane carrying aid for those affected by the earthquake arrived at Damascus International Airport on Sunday.

“This plane carries 4 tons of foodstuffs, medicines and children’s supplies,” Pakistan’s Ambassador to Syria, Shahid Akhtar, said.

Akhtar added “The fund allocated by Pakistan for the relief of those affected by the earthquake is witnessing a great turnout from the Pakistani people, and due to the good quantities that have been collected, a ship loaded with thousands of tons of foodstuffs will soon be sent to the port of Lattakia.”

Akhter pointed out that the two Pakistani medical and relief rescue teams finished their work in the provinces affected by the earthquake, and left for Pakistan after completing their mission to assist the Syrians in relief operations.
