An Indian plane arrives at Damascus Int’l Airport with relief for quake victims

Damascus, SANA- A second Indian plane loaded with relief for quake victims arrived at Damascus International Airport on Sunday at dawn.

“This plane is the second Indian aid plane, and it carries about 30 tons of aid to support the people affected by the devastating quake”, Chargé d’affaires of Indian Embassy in Damascus, Satinder Kumar Yadav, said in a statement to SANA.

Yadav said that the aid includes about 24 tons of medicines, clothes and blankets, in addition to four electric generators, asserting that India stands by the Syrian people in their crisis after the quake that hit the country

It is noteworthy that the first Indian plane arrived last Wednesday at Damascus Airport, carrying humanitarian and medical aid.
