Damascus, SANA – Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad said the young generation is an integral part of Syria’s battle against terrorism.
Addressing a meeting organized by the Revolutionary Youth Union on Tuesday, Mikdad added that the Syrian youth are the most important among the country’s potentials and are counted on to achieve a victory against Syria’s enemies and build a brighter future.
Thanks to their high level of awareness and great keenness for keeping their country’s independence and sovereignty intact, the Syrian youths are hoped to be able to strongly defend Syria and contribute to achieving triumph against the terrorists and their sponsors.
Presenting a review of the overall political situation in Syria and the region in general, Mikdad said the US and the Zionist entity have unleashed their tools to implement their plots in the region under the name of the so-called “Arab Spring”.
He cited what is happening in Libya and Egypt, stressing that the main enemy of Syria and Egypt is one and the same, which is the terrorist organizations of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) that killed the Egyptians in Libya and is killing the Syrians backed by Qatar and Saudi Arabia.
While saying that there is no current political coordination between the two countries, Mikdad stressed that the Syrian-Egyptian relations should be back to where they used to be.
