Jaafari, Vershinin discuss cooperation, humanitarian aid

Moscow, SANA-Syrian Ambassador in Moscow, Bashar al-Jaafari, discussed on Monday with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, Sergey Vershinin, the latest developments in Syria, the region and the world.

During the meeting that was held at the Russian Foreign Ministry building in Moscow, the two sides referred to the identical stances of Syria and Russia towards political issues of mutual concern.

They stressed the need to continue coordination and consultation between Damascus and Moscow in the interests on both states.

A statement by the Russian Foreign Ministry said that talks during the meeting dealt with the comprehensive humanitarian aid for the Syrians in need with concentration on the early recovery projects.

The statement added that the two sides also referred to the results of the western unilateral sanctions that impede the humanitarian aid.
