Moscow, SANA- Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed that Kyiv regime is deliberately targeting residential neighborhoods and civilians in Donetsk city.
“it is clear that the security situation in Donetsk is no less severe than in Lugansk, given the intense shelling by Ukrainian forces on residential areas in Donetsk.”, RT website quoted Putin as saying during a meeting with the Acting Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic, Denis Pushilin.
Putin noted that there are no foreign media outlets or human rights organizations talking about this bombing.
In turn, Pushilin called on President Putin to strengthen the air defense in Donetsk to protect cities from Ukrainian shelling, saying that as a result of the Ukrainian bombing of Donetsk from the 2nd to the 18th of December, 21 civilians were killed and 94 others were injured.
Putin stressed, during his meeting on Tuesday with the Acting President of the Lugansk People’s Republic, Leonid Pasechnik, the need to ensure the security of civilians, despite the difficult security situation there.
